There goes #3!

Bella lost her 3rd tooth last night! The kids and I were eating at Olive Garden (poor Chris was working at one of the shelters), and while eating her fettucini alfredo, out it popped! Now she has 5 loose teeth! FIVE. And the top right front one will be falling out any day now. Poor thing, she's going to be gumming her food for sure!
Football is a big thing around here. On Friday's everyone in town wears their Blue Out shirts, and I mean everyone. Ian and Isabella were real excited to get to wear theirs yesterday. And they so wanted to go to the football game, but because of the possible bad weather I decided against it. Hopefully next time we'll make it.

And Ian is feeling much better, still not 100%, but sooo much better. Now, I'm just trying to fatten him back up! Then Thursday, his pediatrician called, saying more lab results came back showing positive for E. Coli 0157. E. COLI!!!!!!! No one else in the family ever got sick. I wouldn't have a clue where he got it. And the incubation period is 3-5 days, so, there is no way I'd be able to remember what he might have eaten 3 - 5 days prior to 2 Thursdays ago!!!! Dr. Butler said she was sending the labs to TDH and would let me know whatever she hears back from them. I've been thanking my lucky stars and saying lots and lots of prayers, thanking God for keeping my boy safe. He could have gotten much sicker. This is what I found on a Department of Health website: In some people, particularly children under five years of age, the infection can cause a complication called hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). This is a serious disease in which red blood cells are destroyed and the kidneys fail. Transfusions of blood or blood clotting factors as well as kidney dialysis may be necessary. A prolonged hospital stay is often required. Fortunately, most people with HUS recover completely, but it can be fatal.

Thank goodness I didn't read that until AFTER he was on the upswing!
