We decided to go last Friday night (a week ago), which probably wasn't the greatest idea... it was homecoming. I was told it would be crowded and to get there early, but this was ridiculous.
Lisa and her kids came with us, and we were there at least 45 minutes til kick off. The parking was crazy. We had to park pretty far away, and by the time we finally got inside, there were NO seats to be had. None. We ended up walking all the way to the very top and barely squeezed into a space. But all that didn't dampen our spirits. It was GREAT! You could literally feel the excitement in the air. The kids were all super excited to be there and couldn't stop laughing and whoopin' it up!
We ended up leaving right after half time (and we were winning, yay!). It would have been fun to stay til the end, but the kids were pretty ready to head out by that time. The kids had another great soccer game on Saturday. Man, are those games a blast! The Jayhawks won again! Woo Hoo!!
You see how seriously Ian takes the game. He and Dawson look like they're concentrating really hard. At least Henry's paying attention!
And Isabella likes to practice her hand stands when she's not on the field.
